Lacey
Hays was born and raised on a farm in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. At the age of
9 she began playing the trumpet. Professionally, Lacey has enjoyed a
career in numerous settings. She has played with the Wichita Grand
Opera in Kansas, the Teatro Verdi in Italy, and the Guanajuato Symphony
Orchestra in Mexico. As a member of the Youth Orchestra of
the Americas since 2005, Lacey has performed at numerous national and
international music festivals throughout the world with the

Malo Music Festival of Panama
since
its inception.
Lacey has played
under the baton of Placido Domingo, Gustavo Dudamel,
Carlos Miguel Prieto, Marco Boemi, Helmuth Rilling, Larry Rachleff,
Julius Rudel, and Itzhak Perlman. She has Bachelor Degrees
from The University of Oklahoma and a Master of Music from Rice
University in Houston. Currently she and her husband live in
Dallas, Texas where Lacey teaches private trumpet lessons and music
classes at Mountain View College with colleagues Isaac Casal and Victor
Soto, both of Panama.
